About...

The Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Garnett Community Development Department have teamed up to bring HEALTHY MINDS-HEALTHY BODIES-HEALTHY SPIRITS to you with partners from throughout the community. Grant funding was awarded through the Kansas Leadership Center to allow us the opportunity to provide Covid19 education/resources to encourage individual, family and co-worker wellness that focuses on beating the virus through a combination of KLC "Manage Self" and KDHE recommended guidelines.

The mask/no mask subject has confused and divided people; sometimes altering relationships in the community. We want to create a fun way to educate and challenge citizens to develop safe and healthy habits, including:

  • Eat Well - Short how-to videos with quick and easy recipes with locally known people;
  • Exercise Regularly - Feature articles and activities you can enjoy n the Garnett area- socially distancing when necessary. Not only will these activities be fun and safe, but you can even lose weight!
  • Keep the Spirit - Staying in touch with family and friends; working on relationships.
  • Mental Wellness - How to stay in it to win it. Tips from local experts and resources so when feelings of isolation, stress, being overwhelmed, depressed and in need of someone to listen, know who to contact.
