Haunted Trail – Anderson County Jr. Class After Promo – Saturday, October 24th
ACHS Junior Class parents are hosting an After Prom fundraiser, a haunted trail event, on Saturday, October 24th on property located at US Highway 169 and NE 1700 Road. A mild haunting will begin the event, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for little ones and the “real scaring” will commence at 7:30 p.m. and continue until midnight. Admission is $5 per person.
Halloween Night Town Square Activities presented by CARTS
CARTS, Christians Always Ready To Serve, have the following activities on Halloween evening, October 31 on the town square in Garnett:
· Decorated Pumpkin Contest
· Halloween Costume Contest
· Scavenger Hunt
· Eyeball Search
· Candy Count
Prizes and cash prizes will be awarded!
1. All entries and voters must be of Anderson County.
2. All entries must consent to image on any publications including the internet.
Contests are "People's Choice". You can cast your vote in person or online from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween, October 31st. Winners will be announced on the town square and online at 8 p.m.
DECORATED PUMPKIN CONTEST:
Gourds to ghouls...or whatever your creative mind sees. Turn your pumpkin into whatever you want it to be. Bring to the square and we will share for all the world to see.
Bring decorated pumpkins to Check- In table on the town square between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
$25 winner in each age category!
People's choice! You can vote in person or online until 7:30 p.m.
Winners announced at 8 pm!
To be or not to be....that is the question! We are in search of unique and entertaining disguises which sets you apart from the all the ghouls at schools. Stir up your imagination and create an unforgettable image to put on display for all the world to see!

All entries must be submitted by 7:00 p.m. The earlier the better....Remember, it’s people’s choice! So, let your friends and family know to cast their vote.
Are you ready for a hunt from dusk and beyond? Search the streets, alleys, parks and paths for those things that are well.......
Go to check in table and pick up your hunt list. You can play as an individual or as a team. Travel the square and/or anywhere in Anderson county and take a pic of you/team with those objects and present all your pics at the prize table to collect your reward.
No matter where you go, you are ALWAYS being watched! There are 180 eyeballs that are waiting to be found. Will you be one of them that sees them watching you? If you spot one, take it into possession and trade it for a prize at the prize table. Limit 2 eyeballs per person. Because no one has eyeballs in the back of their head (EXCEPT moms!).
There’s a candy tower that stands in the shadows of the night surrounded by a webbed shield. Your job is to cautiously peer through the webs to get your best count on the items inside. You cannot touch or you are disqualified. Simply write your name and number on paper and Slip in your guess, to win... or not to win. BaHahaHa!
First Christian Church of Garnett – Light the Night Annual Outdoor Event – Saturday,
See you at the First Christian Church of Garnett, 200 S. Walnut, for “Light the Night”, 6-8 p.m., outside the church on Halloween night, October 31. The line for the annual trunk-or-treat will start on the south side of the property in a social distancing manner between people or family you do not live with. Candy, hot dogs and hot chocolate will be handed out in a no physical touch serving line. Tables and chairs will be sterilized between uses. This event features costumes and decorations that show the “lighter side” of Halloween; nothing dark or scary for the little kids.
In the event of significant rain or bad weather any these events are subject to cancellation.
