Anderson County is part of the Meals on Wheels America program dedicated to addressing senior isolation and hunger. You can access the Garnett Senior Center as early as 9:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Meet your friends for a game of pool (2 pool tables), watch television, play games or puzzles at your leisure. They also provide Take a Book-Leave a Book, and Friday Morning Knitting Group. Please RSVP if you plan to eat lunch by calling 785.448.0065 prior to arrival.

Public transportation bus service is provided from the Garnett Senior Center. The public transportation bus will pick you up, regardless of age and take you to the grocery store, doctor appointments, beauty salon, and other personal business. The bus is equipped for handicap accessibility. A suggested donation is $2 for local transportation.

Friendship Day: First Wednesday of each month at 12 p.m. (noon).
Birthday Day: Third Wednesday of each month at 12 p.m. (noon).
Pitch: Every Thursday night beginning at 6 p.m. (Bring a simple snack to share.)
