If you are a business owner in Anderson County, here is a unique opportunity for you to grow your business, increase your number of customers and increase your marketing power without spending more money.  Anderson County Development Agency offers a course on how to attain these goals.
The Jon Schallert Destination Creation Course is taught here in Anderson County on a regular basis.  This course has changed businesses for the better when they apply the principles taught in this course.
Below you will see the 8-week course outline and topics that are included.
Now, the Destination Creation Course is an 8-chapter class, with a new section on business tactics during the Covid-19 crisis.

Here are the chapter titles:
New Chapter: Covid-19 Business Survival Tips
Chapter 1: Becoming a Destination Business
Chapter 2: Your Unique Positioning
Chapter 3: Your Leadership Responsibility
Chapter 4: Targeting Your Most Profitable Customers
Chapter 5: Capturing Consumer and Media Attention
Chapter 6: Creating a Customer-Focused Company
Chapter 7: Marketing Your Destination Business
Chapter 8: Collective Marketing

All the content for the class is recorded in the Destination University online library. Content is accessed through the Destination University portal, and webinars can be viewed on your computer, mobile device, or phone. Some of the content might be viewed during the class, but participants can also view all the content from home, but that is really decided by the class participants needs.
At the end of each chapter are individual questions that tie the material back to each individual owner’s business. This allows for owners to finish a chapter and immediately put into practice in their businesses the concepts discussed in the class.
In the 8 Chapters, are recorded 10 webinars on the Destination process. In all, the webinars run for 3½ hours, each one averaging 20 minutes in length. These are the core components of the class and business owners who listen to these 10 webinars can go back and make dramatic changes to their businesses.
Additionally, in each Chapter, there are selected interviews that have been done with world-class business experts and authors. These extra interviews have been selected to give supplemental information that dovetails with each Destination step. There are 9 of these interviews, and if a person listened to everyone, you would learn from four (4) hours of supplemental content.
Anderson County Development Agency offers the Destination Creation Course on an as need basis when there is enough participant to fill the class.  If you are a business owner and are interested in taking the course, please contact Economic Development at 785-504-4265.
